Good Old Fashioned Pancakes Cake Recipe

I found this wonderful dish in my grandma's cookbook. This recipe card's worn appearance suggests that it was a family favorite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 pic 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together in a large bowl. Create a well in the middle, add the milk, egg, and melted butter, and stir until combined.
  • Over medium-high heat, preheat a griddle or frying pan with a little oil. Use about 1/4 cup of batter each pancake when sprinkling or pouring the batter onto the griddle. Cook to temperature and serve.
