I’m so excited to bake a sweet cake! All ingredients are ready for that. But so confused to use oil. Because I have enough peanut oil to bake. Can I bake with peanut oil substituting other vegetable oil like butter, Canola, safflower, or grapeseed oils? We face this type of question when baking a cake in our home.

In the past, cakes were modifications of bread, but cakes now cover a wide range of preparations that would be simple or elaborate. It shares features with other desserts such as pastries, meringues, custards, and pies.
Can I use peanut oil?
However, oil is an essential ingredient in the preparation of a cake. It is good to use vegetable oil in baking a cake. But can you use Peanut oil instead of Vegetable oil in a cake mix? Well, Peanut oil is excellent for cooking at high temperatures since it has a high smoking point. If you do not have any vegetable oil on hand, you can substitute another neutral high-heat oil like Peanut oil.
Why do you use vegetable oil in cakes?
One of the main reasons to use vegetable oil is that it is virtually tasteless so, it will not add any other taste to the recipe. Most peanut oil has been refined enough to remove all flavor, so the only difference it might have from any other oil would be a higher smoke point.
Most cakes are baked at a much lower temperature than the smoke point of any cooking oils, so substituting a different one should not make a difference. But it would not be much.
Peanut is an excellent oil. And it is a great alternative to vegetable oil. But be sure there is no one around that is allergic to peanuts.
